Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) set a competitive total of 173/8 for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Wednesday, May 4 at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
Royal Challengers Bangalore had started their innings pretty well with the openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. Both of them played some good shots before the powerplay but after the six overs CSK got the breakthroughs one after the other.

First, Moeen Ali trapped to break the opening stand. Faf du Plessis, who playing at 38 in 22 balls, swung the bat but was quite unsuccessful in crossing the boundary. He hit the ball towards the mid-wicket to gave a simple catch to Ravindra Jadeja.
Next, Virat Kohli fell prey to Moeen Ali again for the 11th time in all format cricket. It was a magical delivery from Ali as the ball had taken a turn of 7 degree before hitting the stumps.
Moeen Ali bowled a well-tossed up delivery. The ball landed and Virat Kohli stride forward to flick but missed it and the ball took a sharp turn to hit the stumps. Kohli was playing at 30 off 33 balls with 3 fours and a six.
Glenn Maxwell had to turn around for the dug-out after a miscommunication with Virat Kohli while running between the wickets. It was Robin Uthappa who run-out the Australian.
Mahipal Lomror’s blistering knock of 42 in 27 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes ended with a low full toss delivery from Maheesh Theekshana. He gave a catch to Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Rajat Patidar scored 21 off 15 balls but to finish the innings with competitive score, Dinesh Karthik undertook it and smashed an unbeaten 26 in 17 balls with a four and 2 sixes. Theekshana bagged 3 wickets.
