Ultimate finisher- Dinesh Karthik, Mahipal Lomror propel RCBs innings to 173 vs CSK

Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) set a competitive total of 173/8 for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Wednesday, May 4 at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

Royal Challengers Bangalore had started their innings pretty well with the openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. Both of them played some good shots before the powerplay but after the six overs CSK got the breakthroughs one after the other.

Take a look at what Twitter has to say about the innings:

Kohli & Siraj yeh dono kaafi hain RCB ko bahar karwane ke liye. One with Batting, other with Bowling. Sahi Jodi hai. Dono ko saath me bhara bhejo.

Siraj get carried away more often. He has to understand the importance of having Control over line & Length. 145 pace is not a big deal for batsmen. Ctrl & Pace Variation is d key

No Expectation today also .. Our Bowling is known to us 🤗🤗 .. gonna lose consecutive 4 matches… After a very very good start …yes ..that really hurts

I have already decided to support this franchise to qualify in next year.. Now just enjoying how we are bottling this season

There is no point to start with a spinner. They conceded 8+ runs in every match and didn't take any wickets.
🥲
Should have started with siraj or hazel.
Without taking any wickets in the powerplay csk will win this match quite easily.😐

Ok it's a competitive total but the bowlers need to bowl well. Spinners are gonna be the key tonight. Both Hasaranga and Shahbaz have a lot to do with the bowl. Hopefully, the fast bowlers will chip in.

Culprits of Rcb-
1 – Virat kohli – burden for RCB
2 – Rcb admin @RCBTweets – everytime he tweets a batsman gets out.

— AB (@ashishluckborah) May 4, 2022

6,2,6,0,2 by Dinesh Karthik in the last 5 balls

— Subash (@SubbuSubash_17) May 4, 2022

10 – 20runs short considering the pathetic bowling RCB has. Brainless bowling will make sure CSK chase this down in 18-19 overs.

The real ultimate finisher 😍

@imVkohli back to his best playing awesome test cricket. Following on the wonderful run-a-ball 50 with an even better test knock of a 33-ball 30.

Well done!

So what if RCB loses 4 in a row because Kohli is playing test cricket.

$2.5 million guaranteed for next season?

Next, Virat Kohli fell prey to Moeen Ali again for the 11th time in all format cricket. It was a magical delivery from Ali as the ball had taken a turn of 7 degree before hitting the stumps.

Moeen Ali bowled a well-tossed up delivery. The ball landed and Virat Kohli stride forward to flick but missed it and the ball took a sharp turn to hit the stumps. Kohli was playing at 30 off 33 balls with 3 fours and a six.

Glenn Maxwell had to turn around for the dug-out after a miscommunication with Virat Kohli while running between the wickets. It was Robin Uthappa who run-out the Australian.

Mahipal Lomror’s blistering knock of 42 in 27 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes ended with a low full toss delivery from Maheesh Theekshana. He gave a catch to Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Rajat Patidar scored 21 off 15 balls but to finish the innings with competitive score, Dinesh Karthik undertook it and smashed an unbeaten 26 in 17 balls with a four and 2 sixes. Theekshana bagged 3 wickets.
