Wax, formerly Senior Director, Film & TV Music for SMG, operates from the company’s Los Angeles office and reports directly to Amy Hartman, Senior Vice President, Creative Services.

While at SMG, Wax played a pivotal role in securing notable placements, such as a trailerized remix of Daddy Yankee’s hit “Gasolina” in the Fast X film, trailer, and TV spots. She also achieved success with a remix of Billy Squier’s “The Stroke” in the trailer for Amazon’s AIR, an HBO Max brand image campaign, and a PGA promo. Additionally, Wax secured placements in trailers for Minx season two and the Netflix Rebel Moon trailer, among others.

Before joining SMG in 2019, Wax served as Vice President, Creative at Vibrant Ground Music. Her key projects included trailers for Star Trek Discovery, Animal Kingdom, Skyscraper (Universal Pictures), Speed Kills (Saban Films), and NBC’s Thursday night primetime programming campaign.

As Director of Music for Warner Bros. Television, Wax served as an in-house music supervisor for the studio. Notable projects included Veronica Mars, Smallville, Pretty Little Liars, Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Two Broke Girls, Human Target, and Two and a Half Men.

Wax’s journey began in the music department at Miramax Films after graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor’s degree in Ethnomusicology. Her early career involved contributions to projects including Chicago, Gangs of New York, Serendipity, and Shall We Dance.
